PRIDE 2023

Pride of the Déise is an LGBTQIA+ Pride Festival in Waterford, Ireland. Our  fourth annual event takes place 2nd - 5th June 2023

FRIDAY 2ND JUNE

DANCE

A beginners dance workshop will take place in Garter 2 at 5pm on Friday the 2nd of June. More details to follow.

DRAMA

A fun drama workshop, celebrating LQBTQIA+ People and Pride through various drama activities takes place at 6pm on Friday the 2nd June at the Manor Street Youth and Community Centre. Facilitated be Collette Rockett Dalgarno, Drama Facilitator, and Sarah Murphy LGBT+Health worker. 

Tickets are free but booking is recommended. This event is 18+

LAUNCH

Join us at the Waterford Gallery of Art on O'Connell Street at 7pm to announce the arrival of Pride of the Déise 2023!

SATURDAY 3RD JUNE

PRIDE MARCH

Meet at Cathedral Square at 1pm on Saturday the 3rd for Pride of the Déise's second annual Pride March along Waterford Quay.

BLOCK PARTY

Our Cultural Quarter Block Party from 2.30pm on Saturday in collaboration with Summer in the City features Lady Fifi Fondue, DJs, and live music from Amber and the Bear and HOST.

BLOOM!

Alien Nation are hosting a beautifully botanical club night at Electric Avenue for all you gays, theys and "hey girl heys". from 10pm to 2am on Saturday.
The wondrous DJ Lychee and special guests will keep your feet moving to their joyful beats - keep your eyes peeled for the Posie Pack!

Youth Pride Parties at the Manor Street Youth and Community Centre: A Pride celebration by and for young people, meet new friends and supporters, join us for a party and take part in games and workshops.

MONDAY 6TH JUNE

PRIDE RIDE



Back by popular demand, along with with Sporting Pride we will be setting off from the Bilberry Greenway entrance at 12pm on the Bank Holiday Monday and will cycle to Kilmeaden and back, a 10km round trip suitable for all fitness levels.

STEPS BACK THRU TIME

A one-of-a-kind guided walking tour that takes you to ten places of intrigue within a five-kilometre looped range. Leaving from the Greenway Carpark at the Workhouse, Carrignanonshagh, Kilmacthomas at 12pm on Monday.

SEXUAL HEALTH WORKSHOP

A safe space to explore sexual health topics and sexual health promotion will be facilitated by Sarah Fitzpatrick - Health Promotion and Improvement Officer and Sarah Murphy LGBT+ Health Worker. It will run for an hour and a half, the workshop is for people aged 18+.
