Our  third annual event took place 3rd - 6th June 2022

FRIDAY 3RD JUNE

Queer Vision

Our exciting programme of short films, documentaries,
and animation was presented at a live event in Garter Lane Arts Centre, Waterford City at 6pm on Friday the 3rd of June.

Disgraceful Caberet

A night packed full of Drag, Burlesque, Nerdlesque, Sideshow, Cosplay and Nonsense hosted by Poppy De Scrace in celebration of Pride of the Déise at 9pm on Friday the 3rd June.

SATURDAY 4TH JUNE

WORKSHOPS

Ms Gay Ireland, Steph Fogarty hosted “Bubble-Talk” - a workshop on Consent at 10am on Saturday 4th in Garter Lane, followed by a a sexuality and wellness workshop lead by Dr Caroline West at 11am. 

GLOW WEST

Our Saturday Workshops series cumulated with a live recording of the Glow West podcast at 12pm. The Glow West podcast explores sex, sexuality and the body from a sexual wellness perspective.


PRIDE MARCH 2PM SATURDAY 4TH CATHEDRAL SQUARE

BLOCK PARTY

Our Cultural Quarter Block Party at 6.30pm on Saturday in collaboration with Summer in the City featuresmusic from ALIENSINCAVES, Naoise and The X Collective.

CLUB B TAKEOVER

A Pride of the Déise & Club B takeover at Masons Bar takes the celebration into the night with one huge queer party over two floors featuring Irish Techno DJ, Producer and Enigma label founder SYM∅NYE.

€5 entry before 11pm

SUNDAY 5TH JUNE

YOGA IN GOMA

A queer and beginner friendly class hosted by Síog, a queer yoga instructor from Wexford, in GOMA courtyard on Sunday morning at 11am. Admission is free but spaces limited so book ahead!

GAYREA 51

Hosted by the Magnificent Lady Fifi Fondue, young people will be the stars of this Pride celebration, meet new friends and supporters, rise to the challenges in epic circle group games, find the flag, quiz, learn to drag workshop and get your Lady Gaga impression ready for Karaoke. Capture it all in our photo booth! Its going to be out of this world
Young people aged 10 - 13 from 1pm to 3pm
Young people aged 14 - 24 from 4pm to 8pm
Pre registration with LGBT+ Youth Worker Debbie required to attend

MONDAY 6TH JUNE

PRIDE RIDE

From 12pm set out on a Pride Ride Greenway Cycle. This will start at both ends of the route – in Waterford City and Dungarvan – in collaboration with Dungarvan Pride and with thanks to Sporting Pride and Cycle Ireland. Registration only if bike rental required.

RURAL PRIDE CELEBRATION

A Rural Pride Celebration will take place when the West Waterford Rural Pride bus and the cyclists from the Waterford & Dungarvan Pride Ride arrive at Coach House Coffee in Kilmacthomas where we will gather, eat, drink, dance and be merry to celebrate rural LGBT+ people, community groups and all our supporters in the West of the County!
