ONLINE PRIDE 2020

Due to social distancing measures in place to tackle the outbreak of COVID-19 globally Pride of the Déise took the move to bring Waterford's Pride festival online for 2020.

May 29th 2PM Scéal? Join us on Facebook where we'll be putting our local community to the fore, with interviews and stories collected and collated to show a slice of LGBTQIA+ life in Waterford. 4PM Alien Headband making Demo Join the youth committee on Facebook and use what you have to make part of a costume of fancy dress you can wear for Sunday’s space themed Gayrea 51 online party! 6PM Practical Self Care for Mental Health* Join Shauna Monaghan who aims to highlight some practical and realistic methods of looking after yourself and your mental health. 8pm Queer Vision @ Pride of the Déise Celebrating Irish LGBTQIA+ Storytelling with an exciting programme of short films, documentaries, music videos and more in a live streaming event on Facebook.

May 30th 2pm Yoga with Zenda Limber up for the day ahead with fun energetic style yoga with Zenda hosted on Zoom.* 4pm Pride Extravaganza Put your glam suit, strut your stuff inside and come join us in our online parade. To help you get your Pride on, we have teamed up with Open Tempo to bring you a soundtrack of fun and funky beats so we can march together along a virtual parade route.6pm DJs from Open Tempo will be bringing live regge, disco and house sets to our Facebook Page to help you dance the evening away.8pm SYMØNE Having gained a firm reputation gigging with big names in trance and techno all over Ireland, SYMØNE heads up our Saturday night lineup with some high energy tunes.

May 31st youth takeover 12pm How do Young People Raise Awareness? This interactive Instagram live event will share the basics of LGBTI+ awareness and our experiences in Waterford with the public. We invite advance questions as well as live feedback and comments. 2pm Virtual Games Night* Your favourite games night brought to you online. Group games Werewolves, LGBTI+ themed cards against humanity and a Kahoot quiz will be run by our youth committee show hosts! 4pm Aliensincaves on Facebook Live ChillOUT OG Tara Kennedy shares her phenomenal musical talent with us on the online stage. A not to be missed live show performance from one of Waterford’s leading singer songwriters. 6pm Gayrea 51 - Youth Pride Party* Pride of the Deise’s youth take over zooms into your living room to bring you an out of this world you pride party on live video!
